STEVEN GUZMAN
Steven and his wife, Jessica, are residents of Sumter, SC. His daughter, Ava, is a member of the Class of 2020. He is a graduate of Thomas Sumter Academy.
He received his MBA from Troy State University after graduating from The Citadel. He is employed by GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals as a senior sales representative and district trainer.
He is actively involved in the community through the Sumter Citadel Alumni Association, Ducks Unlimited Committee, Kiwanis, Camp Woodie, Tuomey Healthcare Community Health, National Wildlife Turkey Federation. He and his family are members of First Baptist of Sumter.
His support of Thomas Sumter Academy includes being involved with the Capital Campaign Committee and PTO.
BOBBY "CHIP" A. STOKES, JR.
Chip and his wife, Lori, reside in Sumter, SC. They have two children, Shane Bishop who is a member of the class of 2013 at TSA and Bailey Stokes. Chip is a 1986 graduate of Thomas Sumter Academy.
Chip received his Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina. He is also a Kaizen Certified Leader after completing the Kaizen Institute and Certified Jonah after completing the Ali Goldratt Institute.
He is employed as the Vice-President of Operations for United Fixtures/Interlake, a $300 million steel storage system manufacturing company. The company operates with three US manufacturing facilities, two manufacturing facilities in Mexico, and 1200 associates serving the material handling industries in North America, Europe and Asia. He is currently responsible for all manufacturing, purchasing and scheduling for five manufacturing facilities in the company and for setting strategic direction across the manufacturing operations for resource planning, cost reductions, safety, quality, delivery, and environmental initiatives.
Chip is actively involved in the community as an member of Alice Drive Baptist Church where he has lead a weekly Bible Community Group for the last two years; member of Sumter Industrial Association; member of Sumter Chamber of Commerce; former Chairman of the South Carolina Vocation Rehabilitation Industrial Advisory Board (2002-2003); and participates in Sumter County Parks and Recreation baseball and softball as a sponsor and coach.
He has actively supported Thomas Sumter Academy through his involvement coaching B-Team football and youth basketball. He has served as a Strategic Plan Consultant for the Thomas Sumter Academy Board of Trustees for the last two years.
